Ironside State School

Ironside State School is fortunate to be located on three streets and parents may enter the school from any of these. Hawken Drive (near the tennis courts) is most convenient for students in Years 1 to 3. Central Avenue and Ironside Street are more convenient for students in Years 4 to 7.

Parents should note that the school has three STOP, DROP and GO zones for drop off and collection of students. These areas are not allowed for parking from 7.00am to 9.00am nor from 2.00pm to 4.00pm. When using these zones please remain with your vehicle and do not stop for longer than two minutes. These areas are policed and parents have, in the past, been issued with infringment notices for illegal parking.

Please note that school concludes at 3.00 pm and some students use public buses to travel home. Bus stops are located at the front of the school on Hawken Drive and buses are available to the University and to Toowong and Indooroopilly. Both bus stops are supervised by school staff every afternoon until 3.30 pm. This may be a more convenient option for some families.
