Ironside State School offers a rich and diverse curriculum, providing opportunities for success to all its students. The school's curriculum framework has a strong focus on 'engaging with learning' and is supported by high quality, relevant learning resources.
Ironside State School's curriculum includes the key learning areas of English, Mathematics, Studies of Society and Environment (SOSE), Health and Physical Education, Science, Technology, Languages other than English (LOTE) - Japanese and the Arts.
The curriculum stresses real-life activities that integrate students' learning across the above mentioned key learning areas. Ironside State School is consistently ranked among the top schools in state-wide tests.
Ironside State School is currently implementing the Queensland Curriculum and Reporting Framework. QCARF aligns curriculum, assessment and reporting. It supports teachers and teaching practices that are tailored to meet the unique needs of students from Years 1 to 9.

The aim of the school's curriculum is to develop lifelong learners who can demonstrate the ability to flourish in a changing world; decision-make and problem solve in a confident, effective and informed manner, become aware, tolerant and responsible participants in society and be confident, empathetic and effective communicators.
