The Guidance Officer visits Ironside State School on a part time basis to work with children referred by the Special Needs Committee.
|
Among the services offered by the Ms Robertson are:
-
assessment (psycho-educational, psycho-social)
-
counselling (personal, behavioural, trauma and grief)
-
educational and behavioural if necessary.
|
Throughout the process close liaison occurs with parents, classroom teachers and school administration as well as consultation with and referral to other agencies e.g., medical, universities, etc.
