Guidance Officer

The Guidance Officer visits Ironside State School on a part time basis to work with

children referred by the Special Needs Committee. Among the services offered by the

Guidance Officer, Ms Sue Robertson are:

o assessment (psycho-educational, psycho-social)

o counselling (personal, behavioural, trauma and grief)

o educational and behavioural if necessary.

Throughout the process close liaison occurs with parents, classroom teachers and

school administration.
