Welcome to Term 4
In Term 4 the Year 1 classes are engaging in inquiries into Australian environments (such as desert, rainforest and bushland) and learning about the plants and animals who live in these environments. We will use the information we learn through our inquiry to make dioramas. Each child will make an individual diorama depicting the environment that their class is studying. We are learning that all of our wonderful Australian environments need our care and protection.
In Science we are investigating the properties of natural and processed materials. Scientific experiments are being conducted to see which objects are suitable or not suitable for outdoor use. We are also learning to group objects according to like properties. Other interesting learning activities can be found in our Term 4 overview.
