Student Reflection of Study Tour

In the September holidays lots of other students and I went to Japan. First we went to Kobe and met our host families who were extremely kind. We slept on futons on tatami mats. The next day we went to Ogi Zoo and I saw flamingos for the first time. There were rides at the zoo and we went on a rollercoaster, a chair swing and a two person pedal bike ride.

The next day we left Kobe and went to Haga. Haga is a beautiful country town in the mountains where the air is fresh. On our free day we went to the waterfalls which you view from a walking bridge. We also went to a traditional Japanese house and saw how they cooked their meals. The next day our time in Haga was over and we moved on to Sakai.

On the first night in Sakai we went to a festival where we had to wear uniforms and pull a cart along. It was very different. For dinner that night we made gyoza and rice balls which was very enjoyable. Going to Japan was really fun.
