SMARTS Day Print

Howard Gardiner wrote that "It's not how smart you are that matters, what really counts is how you are smart." At Ironside State School we value the theory of Multiple Intelligences and recently held our annual Smarts Day. The purpose of this day is to give students an opportunity to develop their predominant smart and also to have experiences which may encourage the development of their other smarts. We are all smart in our own way and sometimes just need a little focus to bring our SMART out.

Our annual "Smarts Day" was held on 3 April. Students had the opportunity to experience various activities. We enjoyed yoga, watched an apiarist at work, learnt some Italian, danced, participated in maths challenges, cooked, and so much more. Have a look at how we celebrated. Smarts Celebration

So, what SMART are you?
