Our Mission:

To be a quality provider of outside school hours care that is fun, caring, educational, nurturing and rewarding at a reasonable cost. We will service Ironside State School and the wider community in outside school hours care for children aged 4 (Prep) – 12 years.

* ICASAG is a not for profit organisation.

Our Philosophy:

§ This Centre is committed to providing a quality service where -

· The children's physical, emotional and social needs are met in a safe, caring and supportive environment.

· Programs are designed to cater to the children’s age, skill, interests and abilities through a variety of challenging and recreational activities.

· Children, parents and staff are treated with respect and their individual uniqueness is acknowledged and valued.

· The Centre encourages parental and community participation. It welcomes open discussion on all issues relevant to the Centre’s operation.

Belief:
We have a wide range of activities to enable the social processes and interactions to happen. These are:

· Arts and Crafts - activities that encourage the development of such areas as painting, clay work, drawing, and various construction activities.

· Sports - as we have access to the school oval, sport plays a major part in After School Care. We emphasize a non-competitive environment that is safe and fun. We have an extensive range of sports equipment that is available for use every day.

· Homework Club. We offer the chance for children to do their homework every day. We have a staff member to supervise them at all times and assist when needed. We also reward effort.

· Play equipment - We have access to the playground equipment for grades 1, 2, 3 and for 4,5,6,7. We supervise children at all times.

Hours of Operation
The hours of operation of the Centre currently are-:

· Vacation Care - 7.00 am - 6.00pm

· Before School Care - 7.00 am - 9.00 am

· After School Care - 2.55 pm - 6.00pm

Fees:

Vacation Care/Pupil Free Days - $28

Before School Care - $6

After School Care - $13

· After School Care do not currently offer casual positions. All days booked are to be paid for.

Other Fees:
For all Families

Annual Membership Fee - $3.30. Each family must join ICASAG, which is covered by an annual membership fee of $3.30. This is a legal requirement, and applies to all families attending ICASAG (includes After School, Vacation, Before School Care, and casual enrolments)

Extra Care Fees
For children picked up after 6.00 pm, the extra care fee is $10.00 for every 15 minutes or part thereof and will be added to the family's fees for the term as "Extra Care Fee". Staff are required to stay past 6.00 pm (according to the clock in the ASC room), and will be paid by ICASAG as extra wages.

For Permanent Enrolments at After School Care
Enrolment fee per child- $5.50 per child. This is for new children enrolling in After School Care

Holding Fee
$30.00 per child. If you are away from ICASAG from a period of time longer than 8 weeks (not including holidays) then you must pay a non-refundable $30.00 holding fee per child to guarantee a place.

NOTE:
It is essential to ring the coordinator at least one day in advance, to let us know your child is attending. This is to prepare our resources adequately. There are times when we will have a full enrolment for a particular day. In this case, we will not be able to take any casual enrolment. If your child turns up without your contacting us, and arranging a casual enrolment, and we are full, then our only option is that we ring you to come and collect your child. We simply cannot risk the wellbeing of our enrolled children.

If your child does not know to come to After School Care for a casual attendance, it is not our responsibility to chase them up. Please ring the school (07) 3258 3111 and arrange for the administration staff to tell the child to come. We do not have time to chase up children who are not expecting to come down.
