Ironside Spring Fair 2017

Planning for the 2017 Spring Fair, to be held on Saturday 2nd September, is in full swing and a dedicated group of parents is putting together the biggest event on the ISS calendar. Rides are booked! Stalls are being allocated. Sideshow alley is loaded. There will be entertainment, loads of competitions and special events for everyone!
 
A number of donation drives will be held in the lead up to the Fair. These will include things like wrapped chocolates, so consider throwing an extra bag of Freddos in your shopping trolley and stashing them away for our Sideshow Alley attractions, as well as prizes for various games and activities; please keep aside any party bag toys or other items that could be used on the day. There will be the ever popular Trash and Treasure Stall, a Second-hand Book Stall and a Plant Stall, so please keep aside any items you have that could be donated. We’ll let you know well in advance of those donation drives.

Raffle

 
The hotly anticipated raffle is themed "Where Will Ironside Take You in 2017?"  Below are the first three prizes.

The Spring Fair Raffle Tickets are available and almost $8,600 worth of tickets have already been sold! Please see the graphic above which will be updated regularly as a measure of how close the raffle ticket sales are to reaching our goal.
 
The aim is to sell them to family, friends and neighbours – you do not need to purchase them all yourself. If you are unable to sell them, please return the ticket books to the office and pop them in the P&C Box, as there are families who haven’t been allocated tickets as yet.
 
Please ensure you return the stubs and money – if the stub is not re-turned, we cannot place you in the draw for the amazing prizes. We are collating the tickets coming in to discover which class has re-turned their 23 books of tickets - fully sold - FIRST for the PIZZA PARTY!
 
Class Pizza Prize update: We can tell you that our top contenders for the prize are: Prep B, Prep D, 1B, 3F, 5B and 5D. Many other classes are close so if you want your class to win, please sell your tickets and remit them to the P&C Box in the office as soon as possible.
 
If you are unable to sell them, please return the ticket books to the office and pop them in the P&C Box.
 
 
If you would like a book of tickets, or an extra book of tickets please email the Spring Fair committee IronsideFair17@gmail.com with your eldest child's name and class, and we will deliver it to you.
 

Cashless Fair

This year the Spring Fair will be run as a cashless event. This is to help control security around cash and help make it easier for stall holders too. You will be able to purchase cash cards online before the day or all day at the fair from a ticket table. There will be plenty of EFTPOS machines available so you don’t have to worry about bringing cash on the day.
 
Cash cards will be $10 and have 10 x $1 increments for you to get marked off as you spend. You can buy any denomination e.g. $5 cards or $7 cards.
 

Silent Auction Donations

 
The silent auction is a great way to get involved in the Spring Fair. We’re looking for gift vouchers, tickets, artwork, experiences, product hampers and the like to auction and raise funds for our new playground equipment.
 
Some ideas to consider: do you have a weekend home you’d donate for a weekend as a silent auction prize? Do you have connections to a local artist who might donate an artwork as a prize? Are you a business owner who can donate a gift voucher or product hamper? Can you and your friends get together and donate a hamper (eg, a pamper hamper, kids art and craft hamper, gardening hamper, family movie night hamper)?

International Food Stall

Parent, Rob Wooton is coordinating the food stalls and would like to have at least 10 food stalls on the day. To date there will be food stalls from Vietnam, Japan, China, India and Korea.
