St Lucia is a riverside suburb of Brisbane, capital city of the state of Queensland, Australia. Only 6 kilometres from the city by road, the suburb is bounded on three sides by the Brisbane river and adjoins the suburbs of Toowong, Taringa and Indooroopilly. It is also the site of the University of Queensland.

A total of 1115 students in 47 classes currently attend Ironside State School, with 140 prep students enrolled in six prep classes.
