Ironside State School provides an excellent library facility for its pupils. The library has computerised access to its collection.
The library is open to students before school (8.30am), at morning tea, at lunch time (for years 3 to 6) and after school (until 3.30pm). Please note the library closes at 3.10pm on Tuesdays due to staff meetings and other professional activities.
Borrowing limits for year levels
* Prep may borrow one Junior Fiction book.
* Years 1 and 2 may borrow two fiction books and one non-fiction book.
* Years 3 to 6 may borrow two fiction books and two non-fiction books.
All classes in Prep to year 2 have set borrowing times each week. Students in these years are required to have a library bag.
Students in years 3 to 6 have set times for borrowing each fortnight.

Only Year 6 Students have access to Fiction books marked YA – Young Adult. Items should be returned within 2 weeks however pupils may renew their loan for a longer period should they wish.
